Principal's Message
As we begin a new academic year, I want to extend a warm welcome to each of you. Whether you're new to our school community or returning for another year, we are thrilled to have you as part of the Gorrie Jaguar Family!
We have several opportunities for parents to get involved throughout the year. Here are a few ways to connect and support our school:
Classroom or Event Volunteering – Help in a classroom or assist with school events on campus.
Dad’s Club – A project-based group that provides support around the school as needed.
PTA – Keep an eye out for information about how you can participate in school-wide events.
We believe that parental involvement is essential to student success, and we will continue to communicate ways you can contribute as events arise.

Gorrie Gives Back Program
🐾❤️ Gorrie Gives Back: Making a PAWSitive Difference! ❤️🐾
We are excited to kick off our Gorrie Gives Back program with a heartwarming visit to the Humane Society!
Our students spent the afternoon reading to and spending time with the animals, sharing kindness, compassion, and a little extra love with their furry friends. 📚🐶🐱
This special experience was the perfect way to launch our community service initiative, reminding our Jaguars that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a BIG difference!
We are so proud of our students for putting their hearts into action and showing what it truly means to give back!

Author Visit
Gorrie students enjoyed a special visit from author Alicia Klepeis! Drawing inspiration from her research and travels around the world, Klepeis has written numerous nonfiction and fiction books. During her visit, she shared fascinating stories, introduced students to incredible animals from around the globe, and provided a behind-the-scenes look at her writing process. Students were actively engaged through interactive discussions, movement activities, and a fun question-and-answer session. What a wonderful opportunity to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love of reading!
